Our group‘s mission is to maintain the Gill Tract as an experimental research station. Research may be defined broadly to include human, animal, plant and microbial studies of social, cultural, biological, and/or environmental nature. However, we may define research activities as those that would lead to published scientific results in peer-reviewed journals. The outcome of research is to serve the greater community of theoretical and applied science as well as be translated into extension and educational knowledge to solve practical problems and to answer community questions.
Our main priorities now include collecting relevant data from past research done at the Gill Tract relevant to council’s greater mission and to define initial research questions to propose for experimentation.
